Eating, drinking and relaxing at the Farmhouse

We serve a traditional farmhouse breakfast which includes a buffet of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries etc and the usual cooked breakfasts such as Full English, Smoked Salmon and Scrambled eggs, etc.  We use locally-sourced products where possible - eg sausages, bacon, yoghurt, bread, fruit and preserves - homemade fruit compotes, and eggs from our own hens.

If you have any dietary requirements, please do let us know in advance so that we can provide appropriate alternatives.

Breakfast is normally served in the breakfast room overlooking the garden, but you are welcome to eat in the garden in warm weather.

There are many great local places to eat out and we are happy to make recommendations.

See our Eating Out page for a some ideas and links.  We can make bookings for you and also arrange taxis if you wish to go car-free in the evening.

On arrival we provide a complimentary cream tea, and you can help yourself to tea, coffee and homemade cake from the breakfast room any afternoon.

The garden has been landscaped using traditional Cornish stone walls.  Being so quiet it attracts many wild birds such as swallows, tits, finches & woodpeckers.

We hope you will feel at home in our house which we have furnished for comfort and to reflect our location.  We've used Cornish products wherever possible and you'll find lots of local paintings, photos, books and  other bits and pieces.

The breakfast room leads to the lounge and the south-facing, landscaped garden - a lovely place relax and unwind in total tranquility.  There are a number of seating areas, all of which guests are welcome to use to read, soak up the sun, and enjoy a cup of tea.

The lounge is a light and airy room with tv, games, books etc.  There is a good supply of maps and local guide books and other local information.  You are also very welcome to use the breakfast room during the day for reading or studying maps.
